Susan Hayward won an Oscar for her brilliant portrayal of Barbara Graham in this biographical crime melodrama "I Want to Live" from 1958. Graham was convicted of fraud , purgery, drug addiction, prostitution and murder in a notorious 1955 case with the film stating the case here that she was framed in a film which argues against capital punishment.
