Michael Crawford, John Lennon, Roy Kinnear, Richard Lester (Director of The Beatles
This 'X' certificate British Quad film poster carries wonderful framed artwork and the best by far for this important anti-war film. The film was directed by Richard Lester, 3 years after "A Hard Days Night" with John Lennon taking a break from the Beatles to take the part of Private Gripweed. He is pictured here on the helmet accompanied by Michael Crawford who gives a great performance as the head of the special cricket pitch unit. The film is surreal in parts combined with slapstick to raise awareness of the folly of war - an important message which John Lennon carried through his life in support of the peace movement. Printed in England by Lonsdale & Bartholomew of Nottingham.
