Hour of the Gun

Director John Sturges follows his own "Gunfight at the O.K. Corrall" with this brilliant "Hour of the Gun". This film carries on from the brilliant finale of that film with lawman Wyatt Earp becoming less of an upright Marshall and more of a revenger without the same morals. James Garner is superb in the role as is Jason Robards pictured as Doc Holliday. This one had a great Gerry Goldsmith score and set the style in 1967 for the darker types of western that were to follow. Superb artwork depicting the gunfights of the day. Folded with pinholes in the borders and matchstick pinhead size holes in the cross folds at the centre. Multiple pinholes in the borders. We have applied three small areas of restoration tape at the cross-folds.
