High Anxiety

This first release 1978 British Quad film poster for "High Anxiety" includes parodies of many Hitchcock films with the central illustration spoofing "Vertigo" with other scenes illustrating "The Birds", "Psycho", "North by Northwest" and "Psycho". Printed by Lonsdale & Bartholomew. The printed signature of the artist Tanenbaum can be seen on the dustbin where Mel Brooks is seated complete with pigeon and pigeon mess. Interestingly the artist listened to a 20 minute phone call from Mel Brooks instructing him to modify the first artwork of the star so that it looked more like Frank Sinatra! but still like Mel Brooks too - we assume he was pleased as he didn't call back to the artist
