This British quad film poster dates from the Second World War year of 1943 for the Columbia Pictures film "Hey, Rookie". The quad was printed in England featuring the old Columbia Pictures logo and the threepenny bit U certificate from the British Board of Film Censors the printers were Stafford & Co of Netherfield, Nottingham and London complete with stock number. The film poster features interesting cartoon artwork picturing musicians who run away to join the army. The central figure is Ann Miller. We purchased this film poster on a trip to Ireland and the Irish censors have used blue poster paint as seen on the central figure. This sometimes happened in Ireland at the whim of the local cinema owner. This folded film poster has edge tears around the border as seen and is a rare survivor on fragile paper.
