Hell is a City

This 1959 "Hammer" film poster is widely regarded as their very best non-horror film. Made in black and white on location in Manchester Stanley Baker stars as the police inspector looking to catch the escaped convict pictured whose crimes include murder and the robbing of bookie Donald Pleasence. This Warner-Pathe film poster is a great find for a rare Hammer film poster directed by Val Guest and produced by Michael Carreras. As issued to the cinema with no pinholes and just a tiny corner tip missing on the bottom right with a one inch closed tear at the lower right border which we have repaired with conservation tape.
