This rolled condition 1989 British Quad film poster tells the story of the first black regiment to go into combat during the American Civil war. The story of the 54th Massachusetts voluntary infantry is known today because of the letters from the commanding officer colonel Robert Gould Shaw played by Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington plays the runaway slave.
