This talented send-up of Star Trek works so well as the actors from a cult sci-fi tv show are mistaken for the real thing and recruited to save a dying alien race. Alan Rickman plays the grumpy English actor moaning about his half reptilian character as the film works as a satire on the acting profession and as a parody of sci-fi fans.
