Flying Leathernecks

The artwork on this 1951 rare British quad film poster for "Flying Leathernecks" is of the first order and arguably the best from any country for the film. Pictured is John Wayne as the tough squadron leader flying combat missions in the 2nd World War. As pictured he shares a tempestuous relationship with his co-star Robert Ryan. The truly amazing artwork has the most gorgeous colours even picturing a vibrant Janis Carter at the lower left and some great flying sequences with a blaze of colour. This is not an easy film poster to find and this one has exceptional bright colours. Printed in England by Stafford & Co. of Netherfield, Nottingham & London the poster has been trimmed as seen off the artwork and only part of the printers name and copyright details are visible. There is a matchstick head size hole at the right, middle and upper fold line intersection with a smaller one at the centre. A great find!
