Fitzcarraldo

Klaus Kinski actually drags this 320 ton steam ship over a mountain in a labour of love to build an opera house in the South American jungle. Klaus Kinski is pictured dressed in his white suit in the role of Fitzcarraldo. 1982 was a period before CGI when you actually had to go and perform the feat that you were filming and this almost ensued in loss of life for many of the crew including Kinski himself. The result is a masterpiece. This wonderful German film poster sets the scene.
