First Blood

Using acrylics and coloured pencils on gessoed board Drew Struzan created an assemblage here to surpass his final artwork on the U.S. one sheet. This poster art is thought by many to epitomise the all American action hero. This is a first release original film poster printed by Lonsdale & Bartholomew of Nottingham from 1982. The film poster has bright colours with pinholes in the corners and historic pink staining to the reverse which shows through to the front at the top and bottom edges which shows through as seen more at the top edge than the bottom.
