Film Review

Rare original British Quad advertising Film Review magazine, produced for display in British cinemas during the 1970s.

Featuring wonderful period pop-art graphics promoting the magazine's film news, competitions, movie reviews, star interviews, pop music and horoscope features.

The poster dates from the period following the magazine's change of title from ABC Film Review to simply Film Review in May 1972. Particularly interesting are the pasted 25p price amendments, showing how this generic cinema advertising poster continued to be used as the magazine's cover price increased.

A scarce and highly decorative survivor from British cinema-going culture of the 1970s.

Folded quad poster with numerous strips of archival tape attached to reverse to stresses on the right hand vertical fold line and areas of the side border on the left hand side edge plus a few other small strips in the border edge.
