Superb rolled condition Original first release Japanese Hammer film poster from 1972. Christopher Lee is pictured here as Count Dracula with Stephanie Beacham, Marsha Hunt and Caroline Munro in full colour. This trendy Hammer film poster is a real find.

Hammer relocated their favourite Count Dracula to a de-consecrated church on the Kings Road in Chelsea. While us mere mortals were watching the telly and being encouraged to drink a pinta milka day our friend the Count was feasting on the blood of the local hippie population. This setting was controversial at the time but now can be seen to have captured ingeniously a moment in time. Chantrell was the artist chosen to depict the scene - and what a scene! Girls wantonly exposing their flesh, the lure of the golden chalice filled with blood for the gratification of the Count, fast cars and the rather disorientated looking Count surveying the unlikely scene. Fangs for the memory!

The film poster has a few neat pinholes in the corners with a couple of tiny edge nicks which we have repaired with archival tape to reverse. The colours are very strong.

"Brilliant!"
