Filmed in black & white this political biographical drama by Márta Mészáros is based on her own experiences in Budapest following her family returning from exile from the Soviet Union. Winner of the Special Jury prize at Cannes in 1984. This Hungarian film had to wait until then for release in the West as it told such a true story of Communism. An Artificial Eye release.
