This is a truly rare gem of a film poster. Not only is it a rare size double-crown but it is also a beautiful "Teaser" film poster designed to portray the best possible artwork and without any text or credit other than the title. The "Diamonds Are Forever" Advance artwork artist was Robert McGinnis and this ranks as arguably the best James Bond film poster ever. Jill St. John is pictured as the gold bikini clad Tiffany Case while Lana Wood wears the white bikini in the role of Plenty O'Toole. As the cast names suggest this was a very sexy suggestive James Bond film and as can be seen was granted an 'A' certificate on this 1971 advance teaser poster. The two beautiful Bond girls wear diamond earrings and are clutching handfuls of the sparkling gems. This must be one of the most alluring James Bond posters ever produced and in limited quantities too. This particular example has survived and looks magnificent and without any details under the title where many posters may have had cinema details which would detract from the poster. Sean Connery is pictured as James Bond and 007 is very much back on song to his former glory after George Lazenby's solo effort. Connery was lured back for a fee of more than $1 million which to his great credit he donated to the Scottish International Educational Trust. They don't get much better than this one printed in England by Lonsdale & Bartholomew (Nottingham) Ltd. and a survivor in great condition with fantastic bright colours, no pinholes and just a few historic tape marks as seen with a 1 1/4 inch closed tear at the lower right edge which we have repaired to the reverse with archival conservation tape.
