Destroyer Man

Rare set of eight front of house cinema lobby cards from 1943 for the Edward G. Robinson film "Destroyer Man". Each card has a description printed below the action. Edward G. Robinson plays the part of a welder who enlists in the Navy to serve on the S.S. John Paul Jones the World War 2 Destroyer he helped to build. The ship is involved in battles against the Japanese and these are pictured dramatically on the title card and in other scenes. The cards have pinholes and marks as seen but a great full set from a war time film starring the great Edward G. Robinson. The film was released in America as "The Destroyer" but as can be seen for the British presentation the word "Man" was added to the posters and lobby cards neatly in poster paint.
