Our cosy heroes have been protecting the English countryside for seemingly decades in the popular TV series and blow me down - one feature film and the Nazi's actually invade Walmington-on-Sea! We cannot leave without a mention for Ian Lavender as Private Pike - How many times has he endured "You Stupid Boy!" - just one of the wonderful cast of brilliant character actors who allow themselves to be made to look foolish for our entertainment. This is the rarer of the two cinema posters featuring the boys with spears, pitchforks, swords and broomsticks dashing into action on the steamroller. Printed by Lonsdale & Bartholomew, folded condition as supplied to the cinema in 1971. Great bright colours with just a little creasing at the top left corner and a tiny square of conservation tape at the mid right cross fold and an extra vertical fold line down the middle. A difficult poster to find.
