City Shadows

This 1938 set of eight front of house cinema lobby cards have a quaint photo of the busy shops and cars on the sidewalks of New York. Pictured is the pawn shop, the confectioners, dry goods shop and a very busy street scene. This "City Shadows" film was also known as "City Streets" released by Columbia Pictures of New York in 1938. The film was released the year before the advent of the Second World War when all seemed fine in New York and we can see busy city life and an interesting General Store scene.
