Circle of Deception

Superb Second World War full colour artwork featuring the printed signature of the Great British artist Tom Chantrell. Dating from 1960 this is an early work for what was a black and white film from 20th Century Fox. The scene is Normandy with Bradford Dillman in the role of a Canadian officer dropped by parachute as a fall guy to be interrogated by the Germans and crack giving them false information as he is supplied with false papers unknowingly by British H.Q. who are prepared to sacrifice him. The poster is cleverly designed with a strong circular emphasis and the action scenes and the intimate romance are extremely well painted. Printed by Stafford & Co. of Netherfield, Nottingham and London with extremely bright colours this one has no pinholes with a few nicks around the edges as seen and a tiny crease at the bottom left corner.
