Casbah

Very early 1948 first release British quad film poster for the film made in black and white. Wonderful painted scenes of the Casbah with the sultry Yvonne DeCarlo in the role of Inez - the pleasurable romantic, lying full length along the Algerian style titling. To her right is a brilliantly painted street scene in Algiers in this reworking of the classic "Pepe le Moko". Crooner Tony Martin is pictured under with cigarette in hand as the exotic dancers perform their enthrallingly romantic dances. Peter Lorre plays a magnificent part as Slimane with Eartha Kitt as the young Carlo. Printed in England by W. E. Berry of Bradford - they don't make them like this anymore! We have applied extensive archival restoration tape to the reverse fold lines.
