Virginia McKenna, Paul Scofield, dir: Lewis Gilbert, World War II,

Eric Pulford

Classic art for this superb biographical film from the team responsible previously for the story of Douglas Bader in "Reach for the Sky". This story is of Violette Szabo the brave wife who courageously risked her life spying for Britain following the loss of her French husband who was killed in action. The film poster bears the printed signature of Eric Pulford - one of the greatest British film poster artists. The artist has captured the expression perfectly of a World War II Resistance fighter desperate, resilient and determined to avenge here Husband's death. Printed in Great Britain by W. E. Berry of Bradford. This one has superb colours and in rolled condition. There are two small closed tears at the top left and one at the bottom centre border of this British half sheet which we have repaired with acid free restoration tape. It has black crayon numbering at the lower right.
