Glorious poster art of the highest calibre. Vibrant colours and contrasting styles with the sketched realism of the Western saloon backdrop. This is a class act making light of the cowboy genre. With Sid James magnificent as "The Rumpo Kid", Kenneth Williams as Judge Burke, Charles Hawtrey as "Chief Big Heap" and Angela Douglas as "Annie Oakley" British artist Tom Chantrell, whose printed signature appears on the poster, always had a great sense of humour and this is reflected on the poster with the two guns one of which is causing a major rumpus with Chief Big Heap as Sid fires while looking the other way - the other gun is puffing smoke signals! There is a great pen & ink Western street scene complete with saloon, Stodge city jail and hardware store. The composition of this British quad is just perfect with brilliant choice of colour, tagline and typography. Perfect!! Please be aware that this is an original cinema poster from 1965 and it does have pinholes in the corners, there is an old tape mark on the left cross fold, which has been reinforced with archival tape to the reverse, the top left corner tip was missing (1/4") and has been repaired, archival tape reinforcements to the reverse where there is minor cross fold separation. Presents very well with very bright colours which is extremely important as there are sun faded ones available. The photo you see is the poster you receive with no photoshop enhancements!
