Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Amazing to have a survivor of the 1969 "Wanted" poster for "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" used for promotion of the film at the Odeon cinemas and offering prizes for houses that displayed the poster. The reverse side of the poster pictures four great scenes from the film picturing Robert Redford as the Sundance Kid, Paul Newman as Butch Cassidy and Katharine Ross riding the bicycle. The poster was produced as a marketing tool for houses to display it and be in the competition to win a first prize of £500, 355 other money prizes and 2000 double-guest tickets to see the film at the local Odeon cinema. Interestingly, We do know of a family in Hertfordshire who displayed the poster and were visited by a well dressed cowboy who gave them an envelope which contained two tickets to see the film! Not many of these posters will have survived and this is a great collectors piece for one of the best Westerns.
