Anne of the Thousand Days

Chosen for the Royal Film Performance of 1970 we see here some of Margaret Furs's costumes which won an Oscar. This British quad film poster has a tapestry background which reflects the period interiors which were largely recreated at Shepperton Studios. Richard Burton is magnificent as Henry VIII with Anne Boleyn played with sensitivity by the well cast French actress Geneviève Bujold. A poignant period of British history where a British Queen was to reign for just 1000 days before her execution. Printed by Leonard Ripley & Co. Ltd. and in wonderful folded condition.
