All Quiet on the Western Front

This 1930 Oscar winning first World War film remains one of the best ever made. Director Lewis Milestone films the trench sequences and the great moments of the German school boys called up to fight in the first World War studying the inhumanity and shocking truths of war. War is ofcourse a futile activity and many of the scenes - especially the final scene of this film will never be forgotten. This set of very early re-release English front of house cinema lobby cards dates from the 1940s and certainly no later than 1950.
