1955
Director: Ray Milland, Stars: Ray Milland, Mary Murphy, Ward Bond
This 1955 Republic Pictures Western film poster was printed in England by Charles and Read of London & Harlow. Ray Milland made the difference to Republic as he produced, directed and starred in this different type of Western film in which he does not speak for the first third of the film playing the part of a mysterious loner who comes to town only to be accused of a stagecoach robbery. He takes refuge in a house owned by sheriff Ward Bond who is quarantined with yellow fever (hence the poster colour.) Great artwork with highly detailed gun and holster ready for the draw and a groundbreaking film for Republic with old Eagle logo.
