Film Year: 1964
Stars: Sergio Leone (dir), Clint Eastwood, Gian Maria Volontè, Marianne Koch
Artist:
Clint Eastwood is pictured with gun, cigarillo and poncho as the star of the spaghetti western "A Fistful of Dollars". The film poster proudly calls him "The Man with No Name" and his dialogue in the film was limited by Italian Director Sergio Leone to add to the effect whilst using many close-ups. This incredible film included a magnificent soundtrack by Ennio Morricone and put a completely new slant on the cowboy film genre being known as the "Spaghetti Western". Printed in England by Lonsdale & Bartholomew of Nottingham this is a double-crown / half quad film poster for when the film was shown in 1969 / 1971 following its initial release in 1964. Folded condition as supplied to the cinema with a crease line in the bottom left corner, slight edge wear at the top right and two pinhole paper snags in the top two corners that we have repaired with conservation tape to reverse.
