4 Clowns

The scene pictured is from a very early 1928 silent short "Their Purple Moment" picturing Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy who have hidden secret money from their wives so they can enjoy a night out with two other young women to an expensive dinner at a fancy restaurant. The wives discover the plot and replace the cash with worthless purple trading stamps. This dinner table sequence is the food fight as the couple realise they are penniless and can't sneak out or bargain with the waiters! Brilliant full colour front of house cinema lobby card from 1970 for the film "4 Clowns" picturing classic black and white images from earlier films picturing incredible shots of Buster Keaton, Charley Chase, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. This individually numbered litho printed card is in excellent condition for a film which was critically acclaimed as a masterpiece. Wonderful card as issued to the cinema with no pinholes.
