Yellow Submarine

Two surviving front of house cinema lobby cards from the 1968 Beatles film "Yellow Submarine". Animation at the time was a very long and laborious process involving painting onto acetate. The amazing colourful result here is a card picturing different scenes in Pepper Land. The first card features John Lennon in a floral jacket and colourful yellow striped trousers with the second card featuring George Harrison in the foreground with the other three Beatles cavorting in the holes of Pepper Land. Each card has a pinhole in each corner.
