This stunning British film poster bears the printed signature "Chantrell" and is a perfect illustration of how best to market an adventure film. Painted in the depths of the ocean is the German submarine which discovers an uncharted haven for dinosaurs, cave men, pterodactyls, and a T rex feasting on its prey. Doug McClure is pictured protecting Susan Penhaligon as they attempt to make their escape. "The Land that time forgot" title appears in red day-glo so the cinema goer cannot mistake this film from the author of Tarzan. Printed in Great Britain by Leonard Ripley & co. ltd as supplied to the cinema this one is the perfect size for display. Far fewer double-crown film posters were printed and produced and for only a small limited number of films. This is why they are rarer and half the size of the quad film poster.
