"Hue and Cry" is a very early Ealing comedy from the year 1947 and stamped on the reverse is "National Film Library" "National Film Archive preservation print" with a great still of a very hard to find key scene picturing Alistair Sim in the role of Felix H. Wilkinson. Alistair Sim plays the eccentric and reclusive author of a boys comic serial called "The Trump" and he has interactions with the "School boys" and is very worried that his work has been purloined by master criminals. He famously exclaims "Oh, How I loathe adventurous-minded boys!". Eventually, the boys convince him to help them. They arrange with him to write a specific new adventure story designed to trick the criminals into a trap at a specific "drop" location. Great still in good condition and with no pinholes.
