Broadway Melody of 1940

This fine stone litho printed British quad portrays Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell in the greatest Broadway Melody of them all. The printing is by Stafford and co. Ltd. of Netherfield, Nottingham; and London and is numbered 8421A. This together with the very early Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer logo in use in 1940 until 1956 shows this to be an early re-release of the Broadway Melody of 1940 probably from the late 1940's. Printed in England by Stafford & Co. Ltd, Netherfield, Nottingham and London No 8421A. Folded British quad with a repaired tear along the bottom centre fold line of 2 inch (repaired to reverse with archival tape), and a couple of smaller border tears. Four of the cross folds have drawing pin head size holes. The colours on this film poster are very deep and the poster presents very well.
