A Night to Remember

Dating from 1958 this is the historic British quad film poster for "A Night to Remember". Directed by Roy Baker the film has a documentary style paying a fitting tribute to the facts surrounding the sinking of the British ocean liner R.M.S. Titanic in the early hours of 15th April 1912 as a result of striking an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton. The ship is painted on the film poster together with seven of the life boats. The poster also includes a portrait of Kenneth More - the heroic second Officer Herbert Lightoller. The film poster is a folded example with very bright colours, some historic tape marks at the top and bottom border as seen and some small areas of conservation tape to the reverse. The poster was printed by Charles & Read LTd. of London and Harlow.
