| Details | This very rare film poster is the first release British Quad with Tom Chantrell artwork and is known as the Style 'C'. Later versions of this film poster had printed on them in large text under the Star Wars logo the Academy Awards credits. This rare 1st release film poster from early 1977 was commissioned by George Lucas to show in detail the faces and figures of all the main characters as he wanted to create figures for merchandising with Kenner and other parties. The British artist Tom Chantrell was paid his highest figure for the artwork and the original artwork hangs in the office of the Director George Lucas. This film poster has paper lift and small pinholes with a little water damage under the Star Wars logo as seen. A great opportunity to buy a rare piece of cinema history for an affordable price. |
