| Details | Super 1961 first release Sean Connery film poster for the film which landed him the role as the first James Bond in "Dr. No" a year later. Lovely full colour British quad film poster from Anglo Amalgamated film distributors for "The Frightened City" which was actually filmed in black and white telling the story of the London gangsters protection racket. The artwork has a great London skyline including the River Thames and Tower bridge complete with a sexy but frightened looking Yvonne Romain. Interestingly when Sean Connery achieved stardom the film company hastily over stickered their poster stock to cash in on his Box-office success and he was promoted to top billing (from a previous third billing.) Printed by that rare company Display Productions Ltd. This film poster is a really great find with brilliant colours and extremely light fold marks so we will send it rolled in a custom made sturdy tube. The other interesting point of note is the lovely advert at the bottom right for the Shadows tune and the Helen Shapiro number that feature in the film. British Sixties music was the envy of the world. |
