| Details | Henri Charriere's autobiographical account of his escape from Devil's Island is amazing material for McQueen and Hoffman to work with. They are the focus of the poster as single minded determination is explored as they plot their escape from the island. Wonderful acting performances. The minty green background colour to this one really brings out the gritty realism of McQueen and Hoffman's portraits by Tom Jung featuring the artists printed signature by the chains around Steve McQueen's neck. This folded condition British quad film poster from 1973 has bright colours no fading, a matchstick head size hole at the left cross centre fold which we have backed with a small piece of archival restoration tape to the reverse. There are 2 or 3 pinholes in each corner and one at the bottom centre border and mid right under the title. |
