| Details | "The Battle of the River Plate" is the true story of the second world war pursuit of the Graf-Spee battleship. Pictured is Peter Finch in the role of captain Langsdorff and John Gregson as captain Bell. The central action pictures the climax at Montevideo with Peter Finch excellent in his role as a German officer. Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger provide the direction. This British film poster is in rolled condition with paper stress to the reverse which actually hardly shows through to the front but there is a vertical printing flaw at the top picture of the poster at the right hand side passing vertically as seen and including the portrait of Peter Finch. |
