| Details | Shot in and around an accent amphitheatre among the ruins of old Pompeii the music of Pink Floyd lends itself very well to visual representation. And here we have the film poster which pays tribute also to the 1972 recording "Dark Side of the Moon" including the iconic light refraction prisms. The gold and pink work really well and this simply designed film poster is a visual treat. Gold is a very difficult colour to create on posters but here there is even a really good effect where the name "Pink Floyd" appears to stand out as the light catches it at the bottom gold section. Printed in Australia this one came to us directly from a New Zealand cinema and has a few pinholes in the corners, a staple hole in the border at the top left and a small piece of paper loss which we have repaired with conservation tape at the middle of the right border as seen. |
