| Details | Eric Pulford asked freelance artist Henry Fox to paint the artwork for "The Maverick Queen". Fox was well known for painting the book jackets for Badger and was also employed by Hammer Films in 1957. This film poster is from 1955 and is the first to sport the futuristic "Naturama" logo. Barbara Stanwyck is pictured as a saloon owner and pictured here in an embrace with a Pinkerton agent who is hunting 'The Sundance Kid'. Naturama was the widescreen process for Republic Pictures and the artwork reflects this in glorious "Trucolor". A fine old Western film poster and piece of history. |
