| Details | This 1958 comedy western remains famous as the set remains standing and was later used for the Sergio Leone trilogy starting with "A Fistful of Dollars". This film poster is a combination of styles from the painterly style of Chantrell whose printed signature adorns the poster to the comical stagecoach and horses with the cowboys shooting at the Indians. This partnership worked well for the comedy films and often two artists could provide together what neither could offer on their own. Jayne Mansfield was here in 1958 at her height as a sex symbol providing here both the love interest and musical interludes (dubbed by Connie Francis). Kenneth More, the famous British actor, is painted as the Sheriff. Printed by Stafford and Co of Netherfield, Nottingham and London. |
