| Details | This was the last Hammer Frankenstein and a stylish return to it's Gothic roots. Peter Cushing creates a new monster (Dave Prowse) from the body parts of unfortunate inmates at the asylum for the criminally insane. Madeline Smith stars as Angel, a mute girl. The large scar pictured in the poster is the evidence of Hammer unusually performing live brain surgery in this often violent film, a fitting end to the Frankenstein series.
