| Details | This is a cult classic from the maverick director Samuel Fuller. The corrupt values masked by small town bigotry lead a former prostitute into problems when attempting to add dignity to her life in a change for the better. Her new life is threatened when her past comes back to haunt her as she tries to form a relationship. This is a harsh black and white classic. The poster depicts the doorway which appears open, however Constance Towers is dressed in red implying that it may not be open to her after all. The title is cleverly intertwined in a lip design. The embrace appears to offer hope but is dashed by the tagline above. Ladies of the Night are not renowned for kissing and the film and poster are extremely well conceived |
