| Details | It wasn't just Her Majesty's Service that was kept secret - so was George Lazenby's face! The actor made it clear early on that he would only play Bond once and the studio responded by being unclear on how to best proceed with the campaign. The above poster is a good example of how Bond was portrayed as being "BACK" (whatever he looked like!) Lazenby's facial features were omitted completely in the U.S. style A which proffered the full frontal "JAMES BOND 007 IS BACK!" stamped from forehead to chin. Other art used girls,guns and very dark shading to hide the face. For those who prefer to put a face to a name may I recommend the British Quad, French or Japanese A |
