Details This film poster features Terry Gilliam artwork for his directorial debut feature "Jabberwocky". The look of the Jabberwock is based on the illustrations created by Sir John Tenniel for Lewis Carrolls original book "Alice in Wonderland". Michael Palin plays the hero who sets out to win the hand of the fay maiden by attempting to kill the Jabberwocky. In typical Monty Python fashion much of the humour is crude as exemplified here with an early example of 'mooning' in film posters which apparently was a popular custom even in Medieval times. There is some light brown staining to the reverse which does show through to the front on the right side towels of the Jabberwocky.
