The Bond girls have harpoon guns at the ready and the whole action scene evokes memories of "Thunderball" (The previous Bond film.) Connery is painted as Bond in classic dinner jacket pose suggesting that the Turkish artists had Frank McCarthy's reference material - albeit the illustrator has taken licence to darken Connery's skin to appeal to the Turkish audience. The mysterious figure in the white jacket we assume is James Bond and it seems to ressemble a cross between the facial likeness of the Italian cinema poster by Robert McGuinness and the Japanese film poster.
