| Details | Prostitutes - even child prostitutes - have never made easy redemption targets. Great modern poster art with concealed menace. The yellow cab and the taxi driver - friend or foe - and even harder to judge for the lone female. Guy Peellaert the Rock Dreams artist was responsible also for the fantastic Diamond Dogs art for David Bowie's gatefold lp of 1974 (not 1984 as George Orwell's book due to his widow refusing permission) although the themes of the breakdown of civilisation are explored in the album and make a fitting tribute to the choice of poster artist here. This litho printed poster displays really well and is in linen backed condition to preserve it for future generations. |
