| Details | This 1953 British quad has printing by Stafford & Co. Ltd. of Netherfield Nottingham & London. John Wayne plays Captain Dooley the chief pilot of a transport plane that he is forced to crash land on a frozen lake. The tagline "New peak of adventure in the entertainment sky!" refers to the "Island in the Sky" which as we can see from the artwork is at such an altitude to be constantly frozen with John Wayne painted with a very blue looking right side of the face. Poster collectors will be asking themselves with these old John Wayne posters "When did I ever see one before and will I ever see one again?" |
