| Details | This marvellous 1966 British quad film poster gives us a bit of an insight into cinema programming through the sixties. The main film would be accompanied by one or more films or short films. On this occasion the support film is advertised in full colour "By authority of the Queen" - "Palaces of a Queen". Spy films were a major draw through the 1960's but appealing mainly to men - this clever move by Rank cinemas was designed to appeal also to their partners. Two fine full colour photographs picture Windsor castle and the Queens guards outside Buckingham palace. An interesting film poster printed in England by Charles & Read Ltd. |
